Packaged System Functionality and Design
A Sewage Lifting Device (or packaged pump station) is a pre-fabricated, integrated unit designed to collect and automatically transfer wastewater from areas below the main sewer line (e.g., basements, underground parking). The system typically consists of a sealed collection tank (sump), one or more submersible pumps (often with grinding/cutter capability), level sensors, and a dedicated control panel.
The sealed design prevents the escape of noxious odors and hazardous gases into the building. The level sensors activate the pump(s) only when the fluid reaches a predetermined level, ensuring optimal usage and preventing overflow. This solution is mandatory for modern commercial and residential construction with subterranean plumbing fixtures.
