Hydraulic Standards and Case Design
Horizontal Split Casing pumps are specifically utilized in fire protection systems due to their robust construction, ease of maintenance, and ability to deliver large volumes of water at high pressure (high GPM/LPM at high PSI/bar). The casing is horizontally split along the centerline, allowing internal components (impeller, shaft, and bearings) to be serviced or replaced without disconnecting major pipework or the motor.
Compliance with NFPA 20 (Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection) is mandatory. The pump's performance curve must exhibit stable, non-overloading characteristics across its operational range, guaranteeing reliable water delivery during critical fire events.
Specification Table: NFPA Split Case Pumps
| Flow Capacity (Q) | 500 to 5,000 GPM (1,890 to 18,900 LPM) |
| Pressure Rating (Head) | 40 to 250 PSI |
| NFPA Compliance | NFPA 20 Certified, UL Listed, FM Approved (Required by clients) |
| Efficiency | High Efficiency at Rated Point |
| Casing Material | Cast Iron or Ductile Iron |
| Shaft Sealing | Packing or Mechanical Seal Options |
| Drive Type | Electric Motor or Diesel Engine |
| Testing Requirements | 150% Rated Flow at 65% Rated Head Min. |

Engineering and Custom Fabrication
We design and manufacture complete fire pump skid packages, including the pump, driver (motor/diesel), and controller, ensuring a single-source responsibility for NFPA compliance and system integration.
Customization Scope: Full range of UL/FM certified capacities. We offer specific driver ratings, custom suction/discharge flange positioning, and integration into our Above-Ground Intelligent Fire Integrated Pump Station and Mingxing Ground-type Integrated Fire Pump Station products.
Each unit is factory-tested under simulated fire conditions, and all required documentation for final inspection (e.g., performance curve data) is provided.
