Dual-Use Compartmentalization and Safety
A Domestic/Fire Water Tank is a single storage structure internally compartmentalized into two distinct volumes: one dedicated for potable domestic water supply and the other strictly reserved for fire suppression. This dual-purpose design maximizes land efficiency and utilizes one shell structure for two essential services.
The physical barrier (baffle) ensures that the fire reserve cannot be inadvertently depleted by domestic consumption, a critical safety requirement. The tank construction utilizes highly corrosion-resistant materials (Stainless Steel or HDG steel) to maintain the quality of the domestic supply while ensuring the long-term integrity of the fire reserve.
Specification Table: Domestic/Fire Tank
| Configuration | Single Shell, Internal Baffled Compartments |
| Compartment Ratio | Customizable (e.g., 70% Domestic, 30% Fire) |
| Material Standard | 304 Stainless Steel or Durable HDG Steel |
| Fire Compartment Outlets | Dedicated Suction/FDC Connections for Fire Pumps |
| Domestic Outlet | Dedicated Outlet for Domestic Booster Pump Suction |
| Water Quality Feature | Food-Grade Gaskets, Internal Potable Water Liners (if HDG) |
| Compliance | Local Fire Code Requirements for Reserve Volume and Access |
| Sealing | Non-Toxic EPDM Gaskets for Panel Joints |
Application Fields
- Mid-to-high rise residential and commercial buildings where space for two separate tanks is limited.
- Integration into the Integrated Domestic And Fire Protection Pumping Station and SW Integrated Pumping Station.
- Schools, hospitals, and public buildings requiring large, segregated water reserves.
- Rooftop installations where structural weight limitations favor a single, optimized structure.
- Industrial facilities needing both process water and a guaranteed fire reserve.
Engineering and Custom Fabrication
We perform hydrostatic stability analysis to ensure the central dividing wall withstands the differential pressure that occurs when only one compartment is full (e.g., during cleaning or maintenance).
Customization Scope: The tank can be configured with the Bidirectional Arc-Ribbed Super Rigid SW Water Tank panels for enhanced durability. Custom-placed FDCs (Fire Department Connections) and specialized suction ports are designed based on the client's pump layout.
Final fabrication adheres to all relevant potable water certifications for material and construction methods.
